Regulations for the Sohail Tennis Tournaments Ranking –  – Leo Ramos Tennis Academy.

Ranking of Amateur Tennis Tournaments for amateur players from Malaga.

Play tournaments throughout the year and accumulate points for the Ranking.

The best of the year will compete in the Final Tournament!

GENERAL BASES

  1. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to modify any of the following rules set forth in these regulations.
  2. Registered players accept the regulations herein in their entirety.
  3. For any question related to the competition, contact the organization

INSCRIPTIONS

  1. The organization will provide a direct link to a form so that players interested in participating can fill out the form with their information.
  2. To confirm your place, it will be an essential requirement to have paid the registration fee.
  3. The organization will establish a deadline to formalize registration, and will subsequently publish the tournament tables.
  4. Those who have not paid the registration fee will not be present in the tournament draws and will not be part of the competition.

TOURNAMENT TYPES AND CATEGORIES

  1. The Type of Tournament will depend on the number of players registered per category at the end of the registration period, with 3 types of Tournament: 700 Tournament, 1000 Tournament and 1300 Tournament
  2. 700 Tournament: Up to 19 registered players, 1 draw
  3. 1000 Tournament: From 20 to 38 registered players, 2 tables
  4. 1300 Tournament: From 39 registered players, 3 teams
  5. The Type of Tournament will determine the points to be distributed for the Ranking
  6. The tournaments will be divided by CATEGORIES, being the following: Absolute (from 15 years onwards), SUB 15, SUB 12 and SUB 10.
  7. The organization may split a category into 2 or more tables (A, B, C…) if there is a certain number of registered people.
  8. The Organization may unite categories if it has a low number of registered participants in any category.

MATCHES

  1. In the Absolute and SUB 15 Category, the Main Draw matches will be 2 sets of 6 games each. In case of a tie at 1 set, a 10-point Supertie Break will be played to break the tie. In consolation matches, the Golden Ball will be used in each game every time 40-40 is reached.
  2. In the U12 and U10 Category, the matches will be played in 2 sets of 4 games, with a Tie Break in case of a 3-game tie. In case of a tie at 1 set, a 10-point Supertie Break will be played to break the tie.
  3. The Organization will provide the balls to play the matches.
  4. The Player who is 15 minutes or more late from the scheduled time will be disqualified.
  5. The scheduled time of the match may be modified by the organization during the course of the Tournament, notifying both players in advance.
  6. The warm-up for each match will last 5 minutes or less, and players will respect the rest time between points, games and sets to speed up the development of the tournament.
  7. At the end of each match, the players will inform the organization of the result of the match, and return the balls used.

RANKING POINTS

  1. The points that each tournament will award will be determined by the Type of Tournament.
  2. The points will be independent for each Age category.
  3. If a category has been split into subcategories (A, B, C, etc.), there will be separate rankings for those subcategories.
  4. Below are the points awarded by each Type of Tournament:

700 TOURNAMENT

1 draw, up to 19 registered

  • Semifinal 350
  • Cuartos de Final 200
  • Octavos de Final 70
  • Campeón Consolación 300
  • Subcampeón Consolación 200
  • Semifinal Consolación 140

1000 TOURNAMENT

2 draws, from 20 to 38 registered

  • Campeón 1000 puntos
  • Subcampeón 700
  • Semifinal 500
  • Cuartos de Final 300
  • Octavos de Final 100
  • Campeón Consolación 400
  • Subcampeón Consolación 300
  • Semifinal Consolación 200

1300 TOURNAMENT

3 draws, 39 registered or more

  • Campeón 1300 puntos
  • Subcampeón 900
  • Semifinal 650
  • Cuartos de Final 400
  • Octavos de Final 130
  • Campeón Consolación 500
  • Subcampeón Consolación 400
  • Semifinal Consolación 260

The split categories will be subdivided into Categories A, B, C etc.

In Category A, the points accumulated in the tournament will go in full to the General Ranking.

In Category B, the points accumulated in the tournament will go entirely to Ranking B, and 30% of the points will be accumulated to the General Ranking.

In Category C, the points accumulated in the tournament will go entirely to Ranking C, and 10% of the points will be accumulated to the General Ranking.

Below is an example of a 1300 Tournament (3 draws), how points will be accumulated in the different subcategories:
